The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
